Ante Post Bet

Ante post bets are bets placed before the sports event starts. Such bets can sometimes take advantage of better odds available.
There are also Trading Pre-live, taking advantage of small odds variation of these ante post bets as the match approaches its start. In horse racing the Pre-live odds change very much and in the last minutes before the race starts, which makes the Trading here more attractive.
In Betfair, the ante post bets that remain unmatched are deleted when the match begins.

Arbitrage

A set of several bets placed on different outcomes of the same event, with various bookmakers, which guarantees a profit nevermind of event's outcome. Arbitrageopportunities occur when there is a high discrepancy between odds offered by different bookies, and don't last long, since bookmakers continually adjust their odds.
Example: betting in the three possible outcomes in a soccer match (1X2) covering all options. Generally you can’t have profit with this because the bookmakers have to ensure their margin (see: Overround). Usually the sum of all probabilities are above 100% but if for any reason the Overround is below 100% it’s possible to Bet in all outcomes and have profit. To make an Arbitrage inside a certain Market you must compare odds from different bookmakers because in one single Bookmaker you won’t find any possible Arbitrage in a certain Market.

Asian Handicap

A type of Bet where one of the runners is given a kickstart advantage (Handicap), so the outcome of Bet depends whether Handicap has been covered or not.

Along with standard +1, 0 and -1 handicaps available in European Handicap, Asian Handicap offers possibility of betting at 0.25, 0.5 or 0.75 goals handicaps.
Two main characteristics of Asian Handicap:
1. Unlike European Handicap, Asian Handicap allows Void bet.
2. In addition to full goal handicaps seen in European Handicap (-1, -2, +1, etc.), Asian Handicap allows zero goal (also known as Draw No Bet or Winner), half goal and quarter goal handicaps.
